I have appeared as a guest on Persian-language television stations many times and participated in conferences in Iran. Iranians have known about me as someone who has pushed for decades for reconciliation between the United States and Iran. I remain deeply connected to the country. Much of my family lives there, I still own a residence there, and I have travelled back and forth countless times throughout the years.

Over my entire life, including the time I live in Iran as well as in the United States, I have maintained interaction with Iranians in Iran.
